Richard E. Schultes, 86, Dies; Trailblazing Authority on Hallucinogenic Plants:
http://www.nytimes.com/2001/04/13/us/…
“In 1941, Dr. Schultes traveled to the Colombian Amazon, where he would spend most of his field research, and an area Spruce had studied. At first, Dr. Schultes concentrated on plants that produced curare.”

Marijuana’s History: How One Plant Spread Through the World:
http://www.livescience.com/48337-mari…
“From the sites where prehistoric hunters and gatherers lived, to ancient China and Viking ships, cannabis has been used across the world for ages, and a new report presents the drug’s colorful history.”
Psychedelics have the power to restore the will to complete clarity/its full capacity/ and the imagination to its full potential.
Bringing back the fullness of coherent control/ the known true will in all its /aspects/dimensions/clarity without unnecessary interference,
— is the result of the optimization of health and growth of wisdom. This was not only the goal of religion, but the goal of life and knowledge seeking / academic study. Self-knowledge, which is ideally a smooth / continuous process which does not end before death, and conscious action in free dimensions, has been stunted by the values of modern society which are obtusely capitalistic, impatiently anti-spiritual to the detriment of meditation and self-respect, and impatiently anti-academic to the detriment of personal understanding and conversation.
Psychedelics reveal infinitesimal points to contain infinite information with the power to create.
Society has taken a direction which prevents genuine knowledge. The Human Will, and the personal development of wisdom and knowledge, has been Blacked Out in recent history.
We should sanction ways out which are sure to work.
The black out has been partly induced by chemical contaminants.
Treatment of the current situation will not exclude chemical solutions.

Alan Watts On Shamanism and the Role of Isolation in Mystical Individuation
Shamanism is how religion was practiced for the first million years. Up until about 12,000 year ago, there was no other form of religion on this planet.

Positive Drug Story on the News
65% Of Magic Mushroom Users ‘Almost Fully Recovered’ From Depression
“In the 60’s we were terrified of these drugs. We didn’t know what they would do to people longterm. We didn’t know what we had done to people already. In the 90s, it’s very clear that there is a role for these agents in understanding how the mind works. And there’s also a role for them in potential ways to help people.”
- Dr. Curtis Wright of the FDA
Scientific American – Psychedelic Healing
“We’re playing with half a deck as long as we tolerate that the cardinals of government and science should dictate where human curiousity can legitimately send its attention and where it can not. It’s an essentially preposterous situation. It is essentially a civil rights issue, because what we’re talking about here is the repression of a religious sensibility. In fact, not a religious sensibility, the religious sensibility. Not built on some con game spun out by eunichs, but based on the symbiotic relationship that was in place for our species for fifty thousand years before the advent of history, writing, priestcraft and propaganda.” – Terence Mckenna
