The Problem of Evil

Confronting questions about the reality of evil, reasonable people hesitate to judge completely.  We remain skeptical to some degree that perfectly conscious evil exists.  We might be drawn to say, “actions are evil,” … “people are not evil.  Evil is any combination of ignorance and brain injury expressing itself as action.

To the extent that people can’t separate themselves from their actions, they may express pathology.

To the extent that we can’t separate our view of people from our view of their actions, we may express a similar pathology.

Passive personal reflection, in separation from actions, brings clarity of consequences in one’s past and probable future.
