The Word of God

What is the Word of God?  Is only the phrase, “I am that I am” the Word of God?  Is the whole Bible, and any accompanying Sacred Texts, the Word of God?  Is all the words of the Bible and all the words of the interpreters of the Bible the Word of God?  Historically, all these have been accepted answers to “What is the Word of God” – but now that we are all literate and capable of reflective consciousness, it would make more sense to hold the interpreters at arms-length and hold high our own intelligence.  If we hold high our cognitive potential, most of the Bible is also an interpretation of the meaning of “God’s Word” if god’s word is taken to be the Name.  The simplest and most true divine message is your own mind’s reflection on this archetypal phrase given as the “Name of God” in the western tradition, and seen also in the Eastern tradition as part of their interpretive exegesis.

The Word of God has been a common phrase in America, and elsewhere in the so-called “Christian” world, for referring to the entirety of the Bible.  This is an incorrect and lazy use of the term.  If you have read the whole Bible, and understood every sentence of it to be purely of God, and not of men with the Holy Spirit in their hearts (or not) to varying degrees, // then you can go on calling it all The Word of God.  And be stupid.

If you haven’t read the whole thing and verified in your heart the inspirational source of every part of the text, then referring it to as the Word of God is the result of social coercion which you’ve undergone in panic or blind trust.

But what is the Word of God really?

The word ‘word’ in the bible is translated from the ancient greek concept of Logos, which originated with Heraclitus in /Greece/.  To him I believe it meant the principle of Reason, contemplative philosophical thought, and all linguistic manifestations including the descent of wise and spontaneous words and actions from a higher place beyond what you think of as your self.  The Logos of God is the Name of God in the context of its full understanding by Jews, Jesus Christ, his followers, and other mystics in history such as the authors of the Upanishads.  All that historically people have said of God is an aspect of the “Logos” that we all study, unless it’s just totally wrong.//  In the terms of a true Christianity, The Word of God is the Name of God in the first place; that’s the root and seed of divinely inspired writings or conversations.  And then any insights or conclusions you may draw/gain from its contemplation in your personal life (or the life that we all are-share) can be loosely referred to as God’s word, but you’ll be a silly person unless you live through those statements.  The tree of knowledge is what grows from the seed and the root this original linguistic archetype which transcends simple physical logic.  And the fruit of the tree is the multitude of wonders in the human world and the cosmos; literatures, artworks, inventions, music.  Any statements derived from an understanding of the original “Name” can be seen as spiritual truth.  They may be related to the “Word of God” but are not the “Word of God.”  If an ego takes credit for true spiritual statements, they become meaningless and should be thrown back into the void.  Claiming a particular sacred text to be the only true word of God is the same as an ego taking credit for their own spiritual statements.  It’s a sin to fixate and coerce others based on a single text.

If we are to assume that Jesus expressed the Word of God as the Logos, in ultimate knowledge of the transcendent nature of reality, such that it became his essence and being(or the essence of his life and being),/// then he must have been grounded in a full understanding of the Name of God as the foundation of the Word of God and the ability to speak universal thoughts that we may call the Logos.

(The sayings of Jesus are more easily understandable from a rational Jewish or Greek perspective than a faithful Christian one.)

Language and the physical existence are not strangers, as we may think.  On the contrary.

THE WORD OF GOD IS THE NAME OF GOD, I AM THAT I AM, AND ALL TRUTHS WHICH COME FROM ITS CONTEMPLATION.  THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT EVERY SENTENCE IN THE BIBLE.  THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN BY MANY MEN WITH DIFFERING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.  ANYONE WHO PRETENDS OTHERWISE IS A DEBASEMENT OF REAL FAITH.  JEWS AND CHRISTIANS NEED TO COLLECTIVELY REALIZE THIS EVERYWHERE OR SOCIAL DAMAGE AND UNRESOLVEABLE CONFLICTS WILL CONTINUE TO MULTIPLY AND BECOME EVER MORE DANGEROUS.  AND THEN YOUR “RELIGIONS” MIGHT AS WELL DISSOLVE, SELF-DESTRUCT, AND DONATE THEIR PROPERTY TO YOGA PEOPLE.

The mind of God doesn’t like the mind of Man because it is relative and momentary.  The mind of Man doesn’t like the mind of God because it is general and absolute, or eternal.

The honest practice of writing connects these two.
